Details of Each Chimney Inspection Level

Level I inspections are advised for chimneys in continuous use, under consistent conditions, and when used regularly with the same appliance. Readily accessible portions of the exterior, interior, and other appliance and chimney connection areas are inspected.

Level II inspections include all elements of Level I, plus accessible areas of the chimney exterior and interior. This includes attics, crawl spaces, and basements.
